Desktop Crashed under load, now will not post or boot

Was playing a game when my desktop full power cut crashed, straight to black screen.

Tried rebooting it and got to the spinning windows logo, but it didn’t budge for about 10 minutes.

Tried rebooting again to go into bios but this time I don’t get any video out on either of my monitors. (1 HDMI, 1 USBC)

I have removed all drives, disassembled the entire machine and reseated power connectors, tried booting from usb, did multiple mainboard resets and cannot get any indication of life out of the machine. I also reseated what I think is the CMOS battery cable on the back of the board.

I have no blink pattern on the LEDs, with LED4 not lighting up at all when powering the machine, so I can’t diagnose if it’s a board or PSU failure.

Has anyone experienced this, or have any other things to try. I’ve already created a ticket with support - still waiting to hear back.

Only small issue I remember prior to the issue was I was getting some sort of memory error crash when trying to render using the GPU in blender under Fedora.

That sounds bad, sorry to hear that. Hope you have already contacted support.

Did you try with a different PSU? If it still doesn’t work with a different PSU, most probably the mainboard with everything on it is toast. And they will probably send you a new one.

Keep us updated on the case.
