Boot problem / cannot enter BIOS

My batch 15 desktop shows a black screen and I cannot enter the BIOS.

Without a SSD installed I could enter the BIOS. I did perform a mainboard reset, but this didn’t help.

Does anyone else have this problem or can anyone interpret the mainboard LED disco?

I am having a similar issue w/my 395+ 64GB mainboard, which was working fine for a month of daily use without issue. In my case the problem seems to be started by or corresponds with a failed Windows 10 update (not sure why the update failed), which I thought corrupted my NVME SSD, but I have since confirmed that the SSD is functioning correctly and no data loss or anything.

I completely tore down the system and exhausted my troubleshooting options (removed all accessories, tried different power supplies, used the reset CMOS button, removed the CMOS battery completely, tried different SSD, tried with no SSD at all, tried using only a bootable Ubuntu USB drive, tried multiple different display outputs, tried different combinations of USB ports for keyboard, etc.) and still no dice, I cannot even get back into the BIOS. The board powers up, the APU fan spins, and if you wait two minutes the diagnostic LEDs blink, very similar to the video you posted.

I opened a support ticket that is back in my court to follow up on, but at this point since I can’t get into the BIOS I think there must be some sort of a hardware failure.

Here is more info on decoding the LED blinks: Framework Desktop LED Behavior and Blink Code Diagnostic

For the first code, my mainboard LED blinks 10 times as well, which seems to indicate a power glitch. But I have tried different PSUs, let the board power down for hours and even days, and still have the same issue.

You probably need to open a support ticket.

Your story sounds familiar. But I could never boot with a SSD or a Linux from USB – »USB EFI Boot Failed«.

Slowing down the video, this is probably my blink pattern with SSD installed: 10, 3, 1, 4, 7. Or maybe not, the information on the page is pretty sparse.

I did that on friday.
