Hello, I’ve just done the guide to replace liquid metal to PTM following every inscruction slowly and patiently.
Right now my laptop won’t boot. I get charging LED (orange), battery full (white), input cover not set (2 blinking red on battery, constant on AC), I tried to start the laptop with the regular power button, using SW1 (inside power-on switch), as soon as I do that there’s just nothing, no starting process, no fan, no lights.
So how screwed am I ? I’ve quadruple checked everything, there’s not a single piece of liquid metal anywhere so I don’t belive it could be a shot-circuit but I don’t see any other options… I’ve opened a support ticket but I won’t get any answer before monday at least
Already did sadly, I’ve di-assembled and re-assemble the laptop multiple time today to re-check everything. I also tried to reset the motherboard, I get the code B-R-G-G-R-G-G-R-R-G-R-G-G-R-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-R but since there’s not open documentation for this I don’t know what it means
That’s a lot of red codes. Hopefully support can help you out. In the meantime, the only thing I can think to do is stuff you’ve probably already done. Basically just inspect and re-seat everything. Connectors, SSD/s, etc. I really hope you can get something figured out and it’s something simple.
