I just received my Framework Desktop DIY Edition (AMD Ryzen™ AI Max 300 Series) and what a massive dissapointment.
Everything was already installed except the CPU fan. I installed that, pressed the power button, the fan spins and stops and thats it. NOTHING.
No screen, no bios, no boot, just nothing. Dead on arrival? A 2200 euro machine, how the ### is that possible?
What am I missing?
I think Framework Desktop has soldered RAM

Can it be mounting pressure on the CPU? Or is it also soldered?

Thanks for all the replies! RAM is solderd yes so nothing I can do about that. I just unboxed the desktop, installed the CPU fan and thats it.
I used to build computer but because technology has advanced I orded this one ‘installed’ and ready to go. Well……….ready to go into the trashbin i guess.
Yes I openent a support ticket but I already forsee that this will be a hell. I am also missing the front-tiles right? Shouldn’t it be with blanktiles default? Just something I noted.
During the order process you have to select your tiles, whether they are default blanks or not. They are not included automatically. This is because many print their own, etc.

Please keep us up to date how it goes, its things like this that make me scared of geting my Framework Laptop (I know its a desktop that OP is talking about but still)
the cpu is also soldered its an ryzen ai max 300 series it does not have a socket at all
