Hello, I have an idea for an embedded usb-a Expansion Card to hide your wireless mouse dongle. I am not sure what is the average size of a mouse dongle is, but once I get that it should be a very simple design. Would this design be eligible for a grant or is it too similar to a regular A to C expansion card. Thank you!

I saw a comment that people want to hide their Logitech Unifying dongle (and other random small easy to lose dongles. Tried a design with a standard USB-A 2.0 socket recessed inside. Not enough room for another connector to expand outward sadly.

After seeing the Framework Laptop, I am looking into developing a replacement/alternative to 2.4GHz dongles. I don’t like having a dongle sticking out of a USB A port. USB C dongles stick out even further. Avoiding the dongle by using Bluetooth results in noticeable input latency.
Anyone else here agree?
Unfortunately, a USB port was too thick to contain fully within the Expansion Card, so I che…

Not sure if you are talking about the larger one or the smaller one but these are pretty small.
Their website seems to only list the std size.
