Hi,
Is it possible to enable my external HDMI monitor during boot? It works fine once the OS loads, but I would like to be able to see the bootloader and enter my LUKS password without opening the laptop.
Thanks, Marc

LOL I have the opposite problem. Guess we’re looking for the same kernel setting…
I should think that it would be something in the BIOS but I can’t find it.
Using linux?
I don’t know if there is support for external monitors at the hardware initialization / uefi / bootloader stages but you can control external monitor use in the early stages of the OS loading by providing or enabling or disabling the corresponding drivers in the initrd / initramfs in most popular distros. Something for you to look into further.
I hope it helps.
