Expand Frame.work business model: partner with Educational Institutions

We all love the framework laptop project, and we want it to succeed, one of the most common customers/investor worries is about the future support and thus the future success of framework as a company, with further success commes long term support.

I think that a partnership with Government Public or Private Educational Institutions will provide and immense value for both parts: Framework laptop will not only provide high quality devices but also can provide Learning Developer courses, learning programs that can even match the academy IT educational programs, and even a job vacancies for recent graduates, due to the open/modular nature of the framework project there is no better partner/vendor laptop provider option for Educational Institutions.

And for framework: Educational institutions can provide a huge deal in terms of long term solid sales of their products: and with a long term contract/partnership with Educational Institutions, no one will question the future support of frameworks products, customers and investors now will have confidence in the future of framework project and this will be a positive feedback loop for Frame.work business development.

Solid idea but currently infeasible. Framework doesn’t have the support staff to handle such large clients, nor offer some of the support services other vendors offer to enterprise customers such as on-site repair in some cases. Enterprise sales are where the money is but alas Framework isn’t there yet.

It doesn’t need to have very large Educational Institutions, it can expand slowly having strong agreements with a small one and strategically expand its relationships with more.
