Expansion Card Compatibility

This article

Mentions what ports can be used for display, USB a and C but no what can be used for Audio, Ethernet, SD and Micro SD.

Could someone please let me know what the answer to where these expansions can be used is

Rear two are USB4, the rest - USB3.2 gen 2x1. I can’t seem to find the source, but I remember reading the front-most two are connected to internal hub, and thus share bandwidth. USB3.2 gen 2x1 has 10Gbps of bandwidth, that’s enough for audio, Ethernet, SD and microSD all combined, so bandwidth-wise it doesn’t matter which slot you use, and functionally they are standard USB devices that don’t rely on any extra functionality like USB-PD sink or alt modes. The worst thing that’ll happen if you plug them into a “wrong” slot is you’ll see shorter battery life. So keep USB-C cards in the rear-most slots, they can double as DP ports with the right cable, and plug the rest of your expansions into the middle and front slots.

Anything not listed / mentioned on that page can just go anywhere you wish.

Audio, Ethernet, SD and Micro SD, can go anywhere. These are just basic USB-C devices, those cards.
