Is the AMD expansion graphics only supported on the framework 16?
Also are there any plans to offer other graphics option like NVIDIA?
The expansion bay itself is only on the framework 16, however it is possible to make it work externally over usb-c (but this isnt in production either by framework or a third party at this moment in time)
and there is virtually no chance for an nvidia gpu, but you could get an external gpu enclosure for an nvidia graphics card if you really wanted one

Currently, we don’t know much as it’s the first generation of the FL16, but according to Nvidia practices, it most likely won’t happen for now.
They began to publish open-source drivers recently but they keep an eye on the hardware side which makes the Famework 16 expansion bay and new custom form factor unlikely to be authorized by the company.
Really true, I’m currently using 4x Oculink with a 4070Ti paired with the framework 16 and it works like a charm !

the main caveat with an external gpu is the fact that i think they require their own power supply, which means youre stuck to wherever theres a wall outlet. though id say thats also a requirement for the official framework expansion bay gpu since battery life with that being used cant be high
