I just got done setting up my FW 12 with Fedora 42 (GNOME), and auto-rotate does not work (that may be normal in Fedora 42, not sure), but it also doesn’t turn off the display or suspend when I close the lid. If I press the power button, it does suspend. And if I then open the lid, it wakes. But it doesn’t suspend when I close the lid. Anyone else run into this? I did check, and #HandleLidSwitch=suspend is set in logind.conf.
Weird. Something is goofy with my Fedora install. I just booted it back up from the Fedora live USB and auto-rotate and suspend when closing the lid both work.
I re-installed Fedora, but this time I didn’t update it, and all is working as expected. Auto-rotate and suspend on lid close.
Last time, the first thing I did after install was to update Fedora, which did seem to go a little strange, and I wonder if something got corrupted or failed to update properly due to the DDoS that was mentioned elsewhere. Either way, I’ll update Fedora another time. But right now, it’s working properly.
