Fingerprint module functionality

If I order a fingerprint module for use in a cyberdeck / UMPC build, will it function as it does in the Laptop? IE, without a battery present will it still act as the power switch AND a fingerprint scanner?

I assume that it will of course do that very thing, because Framework is beyond awesome, but I wanted to double check.

Yep, there should be no dependency between battery vs AC and the fingerprint reader. Make sure the mainboard is updated to 3.06 BIOS to work without a battery plugged in.
