I have dual boot system of windows 11 home and fedora. Fedora is my default login when I turn on. My problem is when I use my fingerprint it logs me in fine but then when I open up browser it makes me sign in a password. Why is this the case?
On Linux the OS Login with a password also unlocks the keyring. When you initially log in with your fingerprint the keyring does not get unlocked.

This is the correct answer.
In practice, I just signin with password from boot, and use fingerprint when waking from lock/sleep… that is, if it actually gives me the prompt to do so. I also use it for sudo.
