I’ve had my 12th-gen Intel FW13 for about 18 months. I purchased it in DIY form, so installed RAM, SSD, etc. I purchased the matte display, updated hinges, and the 61wh battery several months ago. I’ve been waiting for BIOS support for the battery before opening it up to install everything. The process was so simple that I feel silly for holding off on installing the display.
I have replaced batteries in laptops before, but it’s never been simple. And replacing a display would have been incredibly difficult on any prior laptop. I did both (plus hinges) in about 10 minutes, using only one tool. Way to go, FW!
The matte display is a huge improvement.
