I found a fix. According to a reddit post on r/Fedora , a change to systemd broke things. Manually changing the group on the qmk rules file to dialout instead of plugdev fixes the issue.

I believe this is the update in question that reset my keyboard. Forum post Knowledgebase Unfortunately I don’t see any mention of similar issues.

I went ahead and manually re-installed (re-flashed?) the v0.3.1 firmware on my keyboard with the .uf2 file just in case my firmware was corrupted or something. The issue still persists.
