Not sure if GNOME has an equivalent setting (maybe it’s a flag instead of it being accessible in the GUI). I think color profile is something else (it’s a separate setting in KDE at least). The description of the setting is:
Preferring color accuracy limits potentially inaccurate offloading of color operations to the display driver and increases the maximum color resolution.
