My Framework 16” (Rtx 5070, Ryzen AI 9 HX370) is having pretty frequent display freezes which I can only exit by shutting down the laptop with the physical button. I am using Windows 11. The freezes occur if I unplug the laptop while the fans are running loudly or sometimes just when I exit Minecraft (though it doesn’t freeze every time in this case.) Does anybody know of a fix for this? Help is much appreciated.
I have the same issue. This occurs when the MUX switches back from the 5070 to the igpu. I’m not sure if this will ever be fixed. Potential workaround it to set the default display to Optimus which sucks and incurs an input latency and performance penalty but yeah I don’t know.
I uninstalled my drivers with DDU and reinstalled them and the issue seems to have gone away. I do get brief freezes still but that’s normal if I’m not mistaken.
