Framework 16 main board not booting

Hello, I purchased a main board through the large mystery box they sold so there’s a good chance there’s nothing I can do but I’d appreciate any ideas to get this main board working.
I have the Ryzen 7 7840 main board and I have it mounted in a bottom chassis with a battery, mid plate, and expansion bay shell with fans.
When I attempt to boot, the power button turns on for a second and the fans spin before both stop and after another second they both turn on again before this repeats indefinitely.
The lights on the side flash blue and red and after a minute I get a post code before it goes back to cycling.
The code shows green for all checks except the touch pad and the screen both of which aren’t attached. The post code after is 10000000.

I’ve made sure I’m charging through the back left port and I have a screen connected to the back right port.

I have tried booting with either of the 2 sticks of ram I have in either slot.

There is no current os installed but I have ubuntu on a flashdrive that I’ve tried having plugged in while booting with no change.

I’d appreciate any advice for this even if it’s telling me it’s a lost cause.

Look here: My Framework Laptop (Intel 11th Gen Intel® Core™) is not powering on
It says it is for the 11th Gen but it should be the same for the FW16.

You may need to perform a mainboard reset as discribed.

When did you buy a large mystery box? Framework is playing some games because they never showed in stock for me nor did they ever send me the notification.

Keep in mind that basic troubleshooting attempts likely were tried before binning it in the Mystery box program.

It may need more low level trouble shooting to diagnose the cause of the holdup from getting past POST.

There is a header that can be connected to a serial console on the Framework 13 boards, I presume it is similar to the Framework 16 board.

That console output will likely be very informative as to what is wrong. A good inspection of any damage to the circuitry or components on the board might be a clue too as to what is not correct or a combination of the two. Let us know what you discover.
