Issue:

The speaker quality on this is horrendous compared to the Windows 11 boot. It sounds like I’m hearing the sound from behind a wall. I have tried the person’s preset here where he uses a custom EasyEffects preset and it doesn’t make any improvement. As a matter of fact, it’s in the same level of bad as the one I had at the moment. Anyone have other options as to improve it. I’ve updated BIOS and Fedora to the latest versions and I’m not sure how to go about this. I’ve had this issue ever since I got my framework and mostly used W11 the whole time but now I feel like I want to nip this in the bud once and for all. The sound quality using headphones are the same as W11 but I can’t say the same for the speakers.

There is a bios setting you need to change to Linux.

What is that setting?

I don’t remember off hand, but it’s labeled something about audio and the setting is either Windows or Linux.

Found it! Linux audio compatibility is the set to Windows. Changed it to Linux and it’s clear again! Thanks!

I recommend easy effects as well. There is a profile somewhere in the forum you can find. I was able to vastly improve the range as well.

That I mainly use for headphones.
