Framework 16 Win 11 Setup: Driver/BIOS Upgrade Needed?

I’m now finishing set up of my batch 18 Framework 16 delivered just perhaps 5 days ago.

I have a question about driver/BIOS updates to complete the setup under Windows 11 Pro.

FrameWork order shows
system: Ryzen 9 7940HS
Win 11 Settings Home screen shows:
Laptop 16 (AMD Ryzen 7040 Series)
Win 11 System information screen shows:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS w/Radeon 780M Graphics…
BIOS Version/Date: INSYDE Corp. 03.02, 1/23/2024
SMBIOS Version: 3.5

FrameWork Laptop 16 BIOS and Driver Releases page says…
this software is for… Laptop 16 (AMD Ryzen™ 7040 Series) ONLY!

So, I’m a bit confused… Are the BIOS and drivers upgrades appropriate for my new Framework 16? The Win 11 Settings Home screen labeling of “(AMD Ryzen 7040 Series)” is the CORRECT tipoff for me?

Yes, there is only one Framework 16, and it uses an AMD 7040 series chip.

We released the BIOS version 3.03 back in April, you need to update it.

I also bought the Framework 16 with the 7940hs, and the “7040 series” nomenclature was very confusing to me too, where I only just downloaded those drivers and bios update today (a day later), after finding this thread confirming that “7040 series only” means “any 7x40 series laptop”.
