I’ve been trying to install this 24H2 updated for ages without any luck.
Has anyone had this issue? I’ve tried everything shower of installing windows from scratch.
Any help?
Are you saying that the install of the 24H2 update on Windows 11 fails? With what error messages? I installed 24H2 with no problems on my Framework 16. Some people have had problems with Windows after 24H2 is installed, and that is documented elsewhere here.

Thanks for even replying. The error I get is 0x8007001f. When installing it manages to download and then restarts but during the restart install it always fails at 63%.
I’ve even turned off my anti virus and still same result.
I’ve followed every direction I could find and still nothing.
I’ve updated my 23H2 to 24H2 twice now (once rolled back due to graphics driver). Didn’t have the error during updating, but I can tell you what I learned is that the GPU driver from the official driver pack is the one you should have installed on 24H2 because I’ve had different problems with any other driver:
- Older official driver caused a black screen
- 25.5.1 version works almost fine, but shows a black screen when waking the computer from Hibernate (or rather the screen is not fully black but shows contents of some memory region).
- Older drivers direct from AMD also produce black screen after booting.
I’m also having this issue. My error code reads as:
“Some update files are missing or have problems. We’ll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x80073712)”
I’ve been trying to download for a little more than a week now.
