Issues with my @FrameworkComputer Laptop – screen flickering & gaming performance problems :hammer_and_wrench::video_game:

I’ve been running into some frustrating problems with my Framework Laptop 16 (with the Graphics Module). Wondering if anyone else has seen this or has tips?

Issue 1: Screen Flickering
The bottom part of the screen occasionally flickers or goes black for a split second.
It even happens when the system is idle, with no load at all. Really distracting.

Issue 2: Gaming Performance
In Assassin’s Creed Shadows (and other games), even the menus are extremely laggy.
Mouse movement is painfully slow and unresponsive – and that’s before the actual gameplay even starts.

Drivers and BIOS are up to date, graphics module is seated correctly, Windows updates are installed.
Temps and system usage look normal. Still, the issues persist.

I love the modular idea behind the Framework 16 – but these problems are really killing the experience for me right now.

Would appreciate any advice or shared experiences – both for the flickering display and the bad gaming performance. :folded_hands:

This usually is a driver issue.
I get my drivers from AMD directly, and I use the HWE kernel from ubuntu (6.11.0-26-generic).
No problem with that.
PS: I am running linux, not Windows. Windows has become worse and worse over time.

allready use the driver only from amd

DDU the drivers and install them fresh.
They are finnicky.
Also, try reseating the GPU module.
For me, 25.3.1 are the stablest.

i have done that same problem also the usb c port at the expention bay dont work at all btw new pc

Reported this by mistake as solved still have the problems
