As a director of the GNOME Foundation, the GNOME Foundation has not yet decided anything regarding donations from Framework. You may be referring to internal, casual discussions of GNOME Foundation members that were screenshotted and then publicly shared out of context, which has become a pattern in certain circles of the Internet—typically with the end result of smearing and harming GNOME, its contributors, and other open source projects. It’s tiring, but I digress.
Just thought that was worth pointing out. We look forward to chatting with the Framework team to share the very real and valid concerns of members of our community, and to see if and how we can move forward together while addressing those concerns.
