What about giving money to Intel and FedEx who directly fund a genocide through taxes to the Israeli government? Framework is complicit in the genocide by this logic. And last time I checked, genocide is the highest form of harm.

This is really far fetched and not relevant. Anybody can see that the ideas that DHH says constantly are not fit for a modern society. The question is whether we trust him to keep the funding separate for the project and himself or not.

Which funding? DHH does not receive direct financial support from Framework. He received Framework gear though (which he promoted).

Iām pretty confident the person who Framework is closely associating with, DHH, who claims Britain is being demographically replaced with non-british people (and if you look into what he said and what he references, heās actually talking about people who arenāt white British people, so Asian-British people apparently arenāt British) is operating under pretty racist thoughts that appear to be inline with the great replacement conspiracy theory, and thus more inline with fascists than the people here going ādonāt associate with people like that, the hell?ā

for us europeans atleast, american liberals are right and conservatives are even more right. there is nothing left/social about those two parties. your schools are privatised, your hospitals are privatised, everything is privatised. you can see a real left in nordic countries in eu, even my āthirld worldā eastern eu country is a little left, where i can study for free and have free medical help when i need (even though the service sucks/is not funded properly).

Just signed up to say that I was strongly considering Framework as a replacement for my aging Dell, but after reading about this whole thing on notebookcheck.net and going through the thread (along with the CEOās response), I think Iāll head elsewhere. Shame, as I love the sustainability aspect, but hopefully someone will offer a better alternative.

The Left do not like to be equated with Stalinās Russia, yet they do horrible acts of violence. This is the nuances you do not understand. Two entirely opposing groups can be Fascist, For example, Israel and Nazi Germany. So Fascist hating Tommy Robinson, doenst make him good. Just as Netanyahu hating Hitler, doesnt make Hitler good, and the same goes the other way around.

Incredibly disappointing to find Framework supporting people who have called for my literal death. I was so happy there was finally an option with a decent GPU, was going to make one my next laptop, but now thereās no way Iād want to be seen with one in public after this.

Want to say Iām extremely disappointed in the official Framework response in this thread. You cannot build a big tent without excluding the fash. Instead you are elevating, promoting and sponsoring them. Congrats, you now have a nazi bar.
My next computers were going to be Frameworks, but not any more. Please reflect on this and do better.

They only gave money to Hyprland, and thereās nothing wrong with it currently as they have dealt with the problems of transphobia in their community. See my comments and comments by Senhara on the matter.
Regarding the question in the title, thereās unfortunately no real equivalent competitor to Framework (which is a bad thing) and I hope that one pops up regardless of the outcome of this saga, as competition is always a good thing.
