I fear I may have bricked my old framework motherboard after a BIOS update. I reached out to support but also posting to the community to see if anyone also has ideas. I am running windows 11, have a framework 13 motherboard 11th gen i7.
I ran the BIOS update and after a while the comptuer just turned fully off. After about 5 minutes I figured it just needed a reboot (yeah probably should have waited longer to be sure). I have been having some issues with this board, though as the CMOS battery never seems to hold a charge and sometimes this leads to power issues like this one.
The board now does not get to a graphical POST or BIOS. Sometimes I have flashing red/green lights which I have decoded to make sense (only red are for disconnected components like trackpad and battery). Is there any way I can flash a BIOS from a USB in this state?
After opening a ticket and providing some information about my board and itâs behavior, they asked me to send it in. They sent me a replacement board free of charge close to what I had. I am very happy with this outcome and hope they can recover my board that I sent in. (For recycling/reuse/etc).
Hello, I have a similar problem with my CoolerMaster case Intel 11th mainboard, bios 3.17, Windows 11 Pro.
I âve never understood how to do the updated to BIOS 3.22, because the tutorial is very unclear and lack of description (e.g âif youâre in situation A, go to chapter 1.1. If youâre in situation B, go to chapter 1.2.1â etc) and when BIOS 3.24 came out, I thought it would be easier.
It seems BIOS update failed and now when I switch on my computer, screen wonât detect any signal, same for Bluetooth mouse and keyboard.
