That looks The Business! Please post a picture when the trackpad skin arrives!!
In 3 days I get my flat print bed and I will reprint it in black, with my touchpad skin it should look great
Here are my results for my black print. I think I need to get a different black but it already looks good.
DANG that looks good!
Can anyone recommend someone in the UK to print this off for me? I have a 3d printer but it wonât fit.
Need to print with both right and left nozzle using the same material on the Bambu H2D.
You can cut the model using Cut in BambuStudio. Make sure that Cut to Parts is enabled.

According to my slicer I can fit this on the bed of my P1S without cutting but I have to orient it standing up and diagonal. Besides generating tree supports, what would be the downsides to printing this way?
Probably only that you need twice or more PLA to print because of the support.
Layer lines would give it a specific texture?
The surface finish would be MUCH worse. Unless you choose a small layer height (and even then), it will not be nearly as smooth as if you printed it flat on the bed. Depending on your preference, though, the texture could be fine.
The shipment got delayed, but itâs here. As requested, pictures of my full-length trackpad with matte black skin.
It looks so clean. No issues with warping, but unfortunately the trackpad started intermittently failing while I was waiting for the skin to arrive. After some troubleshooting, a couple reinstallations and consulting the Framework support pageâwhich did help, but not permanentlyâI concluded the connection between the trackpad and pogo pins must be unstable due to the tiny screws not biting the plastic well enough. Iâll try reprinting the palmrest just in case I stripped the screw holes, or modify the 3D model for threaded inserts if that doesnât work. The all-black Input Deck must live on!
First, this looks SO good. The black touchpad is just⌠wowee. I love it. Second, if you continue to have issues, let myself or @Eagle know so we can be sure there isnât an issue with the 3d file itself.
Gotta say⌠Iâm a bit jelly now. ![]()
Appreciate it! After reprinting it last week, though, itâs perfectly fine. Must have been a defect with my first try.
I canât print this, but thankfully prints are for sale (I am not affiliated with this seller):
Nnnooooooooo no shipping to downunderâŚ
I know some folks in Australia with 3d printers. Would you like me to try to find out if anyone would be willing to print and sell you one? Iâd just be putting you into contact with them, if youâd like.
Mate, that would be awesome thank you !!!
