FWIW, there is an LED blink code that should help you figure out where in the startup process something might be failing, this might give you some insight as to what is going on

I took a video of the blink code that was happening:
ggggggggggrgrgggbgbggw
But I noticed in the table that neither white (W) or blue (B) are there. Should I reach out to support?

@jayasafunctionofe I tried reseating the RAM and SSD, and I think both of those worked. It’s saying I need to install an OS

Mine got ā€œdeliveredā€ today or at least that’s what Fedex told me. No package to be found and the proof of delivery is a picture of the inside of someone’s pocket. :frowning:

Those might actually be related… Could be that they had the app open in their pocket and it triggered the delivery sequence…

I’ve had my Framework for about 100 hours and am still very excited. The performance has been excellent, and I’m thoroughly satisfied so far.

I knew Framework 12 doesn’t support Thunderbolt 4, so my expectations were low when I tried connecting it to my WD22TB4 Dell Thunderbolt 4 Dock (which I originally got for my Dell 16" work laptop). To my pleasant surprise, everything works. USB 3.2 with DisplayPort and power delivery charges the computer, drives two 4K displays, and passes through all my peripherals via a single cable.

Debian 13 Trixie with KDE has been flawless. WiFi worked immediately during installation (often not with newer hardware), and even touch support worked out of the box without any configuration.

I’ve been testing it with virtual machines, numerous Chromium windows, VSCodium loaded with about a dozen plugins, various Electron apps, and many terminals running simultaneously. Performance has consistently exceeded my expectations.

This has been a game-changer for me. Initially, I assumed my Framework would serve as more of a supplemental, lightweight portable terminal machine alongside my custom Zen 3 16-core desktop. However, it’s proven so capable and convenient that I will continue using it as my primary daily driver

Mine arrived yesterday. I signed up for email updates on AfterShip but got nothin abt it being delivered, but my university mail room emailed me to come pick it up.

I got parts off amazon that’ll arrive today, so I don’t have it set up yet but I unboxed and reboxed it and I love it already

I just got mines but my touchpad has quite a gap on the right side T_T and a little near the top right that’s harder to see in pic

I got mine today, the fan is loud, but thats okay. Whats really disturbing is the fan is ā€œclickingā€ very loud. Anyone has the same?

You can follow these steps to get it to fit correctly:

Got mine today, too. I installed Debian trixie with Gnome on it and everything is working very well.

I also got a Lenovo Precision 2 pen and played around with rnote. Not quite sure if I stick with rnote or continue using saber, as I did on Android. The pen lags quite a bit more than the one on my Samsung S7+ but I already expected that. It’s still good enough for my note taking.

I’m happy that I now have a tablet and ā€œrealā€ computer (i.e., one with desktop Linux) in one device to take with me. I think this is what I have been wanting ever since I had an HP TC1000 in the mid-2000s ( Compaq tc1000 - Wikipedia , trigger warning: large bezels :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:) but couldn’t get rid of Windows XP tablet edition…

Now I’m just waiting for the RAM…

Too bad the lockdown browser doesn’t work on Linux, though. :joy_cat:

I’m looking for a stylus now, so how is the feel with Precision 2 pen, aside from the lag? I saw that one recommended in the other thread but not a lot of posts about it. I’d want to see if it can be good for drawing.

I find it quite nice. It’s made of aluminum and I like that it has more heft than the one that came with my Samsung. The tips feel similar. I does have two buttons which worked out of the box. But I have never used buttons on pens as I always have a hard time finding them. If you get the Lenovo, I think there are different variants, the ā€œLaptopā€ variant is the one that comes with MPP 2.0 support.

What did you all change your power plan settings to? Like I mean I noticed windows have it pretty aggressively set to turn off hard disk after 1 minute of idle. 3 minutes to off the display and put computer to sleep on battery.

Thanks in advance!

Received mine on Monday, before Framework even sent me the tracking number. Turned it on today, because I’ve been waiting for memory to come.

I noticed that touchpad wasn’t aligned properly, in my case it was clicking but definitely deeper than it should on both corners at the bottom, I started clicking it quickly and eventually there was a loud click and the cursor was constantly moving to the same position on screen, working against me trying to move it in various directions.

It wasn’t enough to just loosen 4 screws like described in FW12 trackpad rubbing/becoming stuck down - #2 by Eagle , I had to unscrew the touchpad completely and center it perfectly, I then screwed it with the 2 finger rule that was mentioned in the case cracking thread and it works good now
