FW13 not charging with ucm-ucsi acpi error in W11, now dead and not powering on anymore

Hi

I have a AMD Ryzen™ AI 300 Series - Ryzen™ AI 9 HX 370 since last january, which has been great. Today it was suddenly not connecting anymore via any ports and in win device managaer showin an ucm-ucsi acpi device error.

Since it was not charging anymore it slowly died. Now it is stil not charging and I can’t turn it on anymore.

Does anybody have a clue what to do?

Hi @Diederik_van_Dijk,

If not done so already start a ticket with support. We are all end users on the forums here.

It sounds like the ports on both sides have shutdown hence the drain until the battery was exhausted.

It may take resetting the main board or disconnecting the battery and resetting the main board for it to reset the controllers and enable charging/power again.

There are cases where the EC shuts down the controllers on each side to protect the ports from potential damage. Ideally this is just a matter of resetting the mainboard and not actual hardware damage to both sides of the main board. Hopefully this gives some insight as to what may be going on.
