Hey everyone,
I’m currently working on a project where I’m trying to design an aftermarket chassis for the FW13.
I know that the general dimensions are available on the GitHub, but I was wondering if anyone happened to have any leads as to where I might obtain a scrap / not working mainboard, that I can use as a physical reference. I suppose I could use my own mainboard, but it would be incredibly inconvenient to have to completely teardown my laptop every time I just want to take a look at it.
Any help would be appreciated, and thanks in advance!

The large mystery box on the marketplace would be the best option however, it’s currently in high demand and is only available in certain locations. Framework | Framework Mystery Boxes

I might have one. I killed a mainboard many years ago and while I likely recycled it, I can’t remember if I did or not. Let me have a look in my general bin of e-waste and see if I can dig it up. Then again, I may have sold the chassis with the non-working mainboard. Let me message my buyer to see if they have it in case I do not.
EDIT: Looking at my messages with my buyer, I sold the computer minus a mainboard so I may still have it. I’ll have a look see about my house tonight.
EDIT2: Had a rummage about my random cables and general ewaste and I’m afraid to say I must have recycled it when I sold the chassis some years ago. Although I did find some DDR3L RAM to pop in the PC I salvaged from my mom I’m repurposing as a media server so I guess that’s a win! Pity I wasted $10 buying DRAM from eBay that isn’t POSTing on her old Optiplex. I guess it doesn’t care for “gamer” RAM and just un-heatsinked DIMMS XD.
I can look into those. I remember seeing them before, but never picked one up. I might try to pick some up when they drop, thanks for the info!

Aw man, that’s a shame. Too bad it’s gone, but thanks for checking anyway, and I’m glad you at least found something from it!
