I have been reading this thread:
It explains how some people have been able to recover their main-board after a failed flash.
They use a clip on BIOS flash programmer to do it on a FW13.
I was wondering if this is possible on a FW16.
My thinking is, use the clip on programmer to make a backup of the BIOS flash.
Then, if anything goes wrong during the normal FW directed BIOS upgrade, I can then easily recover the BIOS flash, using the backup I took of it.
So, I have not tried yet, but if anyone can tell me which chip on the FW16 main-board is the BIOS flash chip, it would help.
Maybe take a pic and post it here?
I am hoping it is not on the bottom of the main-board.
