FW16 display on FW13 motherboard?

Hey guys! Has anyone tested the framework 16 display on the framework 13 motherboard? Do they even have the same connector? (are they both edp, number of pins, backlight voltage/power requirements 1.8v/3.3v)
I’m thinking about a custom linux “tablet” build (without a touchscreen). I already carry a keyboard and mouse with a couple more peripherals everyday so i don’t need the laptop’s keyboard, touchpad, and speakers. The io of the 13 is plenty enough for my use, the lower price is also a plus, but the 16 inch display would be better?
Would i need to change any ACPI tables or something?
Any help would be much appreciated!

Welcome to the forum

Pinouts are on Framework’s github

Don’t know if anyone has tried it. I haven’t seen anyone post about it at least.

I’ve seen one guy that made the display of a lenovo 720 (i think) work on the 13 with the touch and pen digitizer input pass through the touchpad’s i2c bus. He had to change the ACPI table but it worked

That looks like a ‘no’ as far as compatible pinouts go - the ground pins don’t look like they’re in the same place, so you would need a custom adapter at the very least (and possibly more if the voltages are different)

Does Anyone know where to find the pinout for the FW 16 display and/or what standard it is so I could try to find/purchase a board for it to use one as a external display? Not super Important but, just curious.

The connector is IPEX 20682-040E.

Would it be possible to get someone to add that to the github?

Love how you pop in time to time with information like this, it’s just that it can be hard to find if it only remains here. I know a few others have come looking for the FWL16 display-side pinout in the past.

Mostly agree with MJ1, I really appreciate when you weigh in on topics like this in the forum. And I second that for the github.
