I just seem to have so many sleep/power related issues. I wish I had a better idea of whats wrong but it always seems so all over the place. My laptop will sleep and resume only to power on at 600mhz, or power on with the GPU (Nvidia 5070) smoking hot. So hot i can smell it, not even in a bag! Just sitting there at the table.
Hybernation works most of the time but s2idle is so buggy and sometimes faults out. On occasion i’ll find the laptop frozen up glitching. I reseated the GPU connector one time, and updated the bios firmware recently when i saw in the patchnotes they fixed the cpu resume speed bug but. As tested, it will still resume from sleep even with the supposidly new bios.
I would love if people have suggestions for what to record, I think dmesg isn’t telling me the whole story. And I want to help, but recording or recovering crashes/weirdness from the EC is a little foreign to me. Thank you for advice
