I’ve been having this issue since switching to Linux, but initially when I close my laptop, when I re-open it and am met with the login screen, it is very often completely frozen, and will not unfreeze without a hard reboot (holding down the power button). The same thing happens frequently when I’m inactive and the screen turns itself off, and I wake it back to the login screen.
Also, it has happened quite a few times now that after I close my laptop and put it in my bag, after an amount of time or when I pull it back out later, the fans are blowing full speed and the entire chassis is very hot, and often times the battery is quite drained. Just before posting this, I took my laptop out of my bag after about an hour and a half to a completely dead battery and a very warm laptop (I assume it was doing the fan thing until the battery died).
Because of this, my battery health has gone from 98% this morning to 95% now.
I have been having these issues for a few kernel versions, I remember seeing 6.12 but may have also had 6.11.
I’m not super familiar with the Linux ins and outs, but I know my way around a desktop environment pretty well and have beginner terminal experience.
