I “dock” my fw13, including using the headphone jack to connect to speakers. When sound is playing, all is good.
However, when the audio chipset gets suspended/disabled by powersaving, a familiar constant grounding loop (at least I think it is one) hum emanates from the speakers.
I have no idea if this is solvable in hw, but in my use this is easily solvable by configuring TLP to not disable the audio when on AC
SOUND_POWER_SAVE_ON_AC=0
because when docked, it’s also on AC, so keeping the sound card on is no issue.
This is more feedback to the frame.work team, and hints to anyone else hitting this issue.
