Hello,
I’m a new framework user, just bought it 2 weeks ago (Ryzen™ 9 7940HS).
I’m running a Linux Ubuntu 24.4.2 LTS
I’ve installed Brave, added my pinned pages (8, like gmail and some others).
Next reboot, when I launch brave, my screen just freeze, nothing I can do about it except pressing the power button for X seconds to shut down the laptop.
It’s not like it makes any sound, like a fan sound because it’s hot or something.
I even waited for 30 minutes, nothing changed.
Any idea of what is causing that ?
I’m worried that it could happen anytime when it will be my only computer (I’m still relying on my previous one because of that).
Thank you for your time reading this
Sounds like it could be a graphics driver crash. Try getting some kernel logs for the boot where Brace was opened. Since you have hard-rebooted, you want the “previous” boot’s kernel logs so something like this should print them: journalctl -k -b -1
Thanks for the answer.
Here it is :

Is there more? This looks like only part of a boot, on the earlier side. There should be quite a bit before and especially after this.
What you can read is what happened just before the freeze : the computer was on since 8 minutes when this happened.
I was copying files from USB key to M2 storage, then I opened brave, it freezed instantly.
No other logs was found after.
