So, I know that the display is working, except for the fact that it just stays blank the whole time.
I know that the display works because I’m using i3wm, and multiple monitors work. That is, the second workspace isn’t active on the laptop screen.
So clearly the computer knows that there is another display out there, it’s just staying entirely blank. It does seem to get input, since the screen doesn’t give me any kind of “no input” message. But the screen always stays blank.
FWIW, it seems like the problem also is present in KDE. I’ve tried on a few different monitors with the same behavior. I’ve rebooted several times, just in case.
