[ EDIT: simple solution:
just open a bunch of links to different posts (like 5? try 10 if that doesn’t work)
-- I personally wanted to look at what other people were saying about nixos anyway,
so I just did i search for that and looked at a bunch of the results.

Hi, I’m a new user, and I wanted to post a complicated question/request about keyboards,
with a bunch of links to example images to explain what I mean,
but it gave me the error:
“Sorry, new users can only put 2 links in a post.”
(Also, not 100% sure I got the best sub-forum and tags, but… I think it’s okay?)
Anyway, what do I need to do to graduate from being “new”, so I can post my keyboard question/request?
Ah, thank you, but I have used Discourse before
(eg… openSUSE forums, can’t offhand remember everything else)
albeit I’ve been almost completely inactive anywhere for the past couple years, but…
that’s the part I kinda need a simple straightforward answer to here,
and I imagine the exact answer may well vary depending on how any specific Discourse-using community has been configured, right…?
EDIT:
oh wait, I signed in / created account using google this time…
– was I supposed to use something else that connects my identity together across all the Discourse-using communities I’ve used before, or…?
Yes, it could be different. I don’t recall running into them saying it’s different from the default here. I feel like I’ve seen people get it by just meeting those requirements.
I am on this forum quite a bit. Shoot me a PM with your additional links, and I will add them in an additional post in your new thread.
No. Discourse only collates trust signals across each forum; I don’t think it would be useful to be trusted in one community because one was trusted in another.
Thanks, but I think I passed the threshhold just by going and opening a bunch of links

I wanted to search for other people talking about nixos anyway,
and the initial results are enheartening!

Anyway, I at least earned enough “trustworthiness” to post a reply in another, related thread I found:
[
yeah, I know, like I said:
I knew it was a dumb thought, but left it in anyway ^^;
(I just got and accepted your edit to this post/title btw.)
Anyway, I’ma see if anyone in that other thread
(ie about UK English and German keyboards)
responds with any comments/questions
and then I’ll think about doing a more top-level post on the subject…
I did not remember at all! But it looks like a bot DM’ed me. Him: community.frame.work/u/discobot
You can DM him and say @discobot display help or @discobot start advanced tutorial
