How to keep a Framework 13 AMD 7040 series reliably connected to Wi-Fi?

the wifi card is the one that was pushed when I bought this motherboard a few years ago, the AMD RZ616 Wi-Fi 6E, however the issue is that the wifi since I updated a couple weeks ago has been cutting out and not allowing me to reconnect without a complete reboot and it doesn’t stay connected. I can physically connect via ethernet or tethered hotspot but even with a fresh install of fedora 44 I am having major issues staying connected for more than 5 minutes at a time. Is anyone else currently having this same issue? I have seen some older posts which don’t seem to work in my case as I am running only linux these days and don’t have any issues with Blutooth (as were referenced as issues and solutions in this article [RESPONDED] Framework 13 AMD Wifi - #5 by Loell_Framework ) I have been looking around and the issue may be the wifi card but something that recent and no other people talking about it besides a few years ago seems to be an issue not many are having and was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to resolve it. is it worth replacing the wifi card with a new one from intel and seeing if that works better, and if so any recommendations on models?

It’s good that you find the problem easy to reproduce - it is much harder to debug if it is highly intermittent.

In Fedora, open up a shell/terminal window, and maximise it, so it is as big as your screen will allow. Then type dmesg --follow. You can then bring any other window to the foreground, and use the machine normally. When you get a Wi-Fi drop-out, go back to the console window, and paste the last 100 or so lines here - bonus points if you can select the ones are obviously about networking.

Double bonus points if you can paste that information, in text format, using the Preformatted Text widget in the forum toolbar (</>), so that it is easy for folks here to read.
