What’s the actual battery health? You can use powercfg /batteryreport on Windows and upower -i $(upower -e | grep battery) on Linux

It says 80.4% for capacity. Just 3-4 months ago it was still in the 90s, and I can’t think of a reason for the quick drop.

The drop can be attributed to the battery putting up with being max charged it’s whole life. The high state of charge finally took its toll and degraded a little. Surprised it is not further degraded. Since it is kept plugged in and under higher loads, limit it to 50% for now until a replacement …

Correct; FW appears to have never stopped shipping these with Shin-Etsu 8117. Based on research here and this photo.

How about Framework? They sell two sizes of PTM7958.
