Is the fingerprint module compatible with the Chromebook Framework?

I am interested in a Laptop Framework, but would like the fingerprint to work on this model.

Long answer. No, it’s unfeasible due to ChromeOS’s hardware shenanigans.

That sad. This leaves the experience “incomplete” on Chrome OS.

Could we get a longer answer? Other Chromebooks have fingerprint sensors. What stops Framework from having one?
