Keep the touch pad from waking the laptop

Is there any way to keep the touch pad from waking the laptop? I looked in the device manager settings and tried disabling wake devices but nothing works. It seems this is because of the S0 sleep mode.

Hi, I haven’t tried this myself, so it’s a bit of a lmgtfy post, but you never like to see 0 replies: Power management/Wakeup triggers - ArchWiki wiki page talks about disabling wakeup triggers for specific devices. I’d feel pretty optimistic about making the wakeup not happen with a udev rule like that page describes.

Well I’m running on windows unfortunately. No idea if it would work in WSL. You can pass hardware through it though.

Ah, I see your problem.

You gotta reboot three times and commit arson in Redmond. That’s the process.

Thanks the wifi card works now after trying that too. I would put Linux on this but I can’t gigure out how to get Wine to get programs working if they don’t run out of the box. I already run Mint on my desktop and it does 90% of what I would ever want to do.
