Keyboard intermittently not responding/working

This is a recent issue I have been encountering: my keyboard will stop responding, and typing on it or pressing any keys will not register anything. Then, it’ll start working again.

This started yesterday(?) 12/28 after I installed Ubuntu on a separate SSD.

Things that I did:

  • Removed blue plastic film covering what I assume is a thermal pad and inserted 2230 SSD.
  • Installed Ubuntu on that
  • I’ve tried wiping the contacts and realigning the keyboard/spacers. I have not tried shifting my orientation of spacer / spacer / keyboard or any variation of that. I have kept it spacer / keyboard / spacer.

OS: Windows 10 22H2
Device: Framework Laptop 16

Hey there, I’d recommend giving a quick readthrough of my thread with similar issues Input Deck/Mid-Plate Appears To Be Failing - Help! - #3 by Matt1985 . You may not be experiencing the same exact issue, but I do list some pretty exhaustive testing methods in there that might point you in the right direction. :slight_smile:
