Keyboard issue - "p" and "0" (zero) keys are unreliable

Over the last couple weeks I’ve noticed that my AMD 13" keyboard’s “p” and “0” (zero) keys are unreliable. As in, I’ll wake the machine and the keys don’t work, but a day later on wake the keys work fine. And then a day after that, they’re dead again. And as far as I can tell it’s just those two keys.

Note: I usually use my laptop with an external keyboard/mouse/monitor over thunderbolt. Which is how I’m able to type this

I’m curious about best plan of action to repair this. I know I can buy a new keyboard, and I expect I will, but the one I want is the US english linux keyboard, and it’s not available right now. And I don’t want to buy another keyboard with a windows logo if I don’t have to.

So - any suggestions as to how to fix this?

I doubt this is relevant, but my machine’s an AMD 13", with up-to-date Fedora linux.

Based on your description it sound like a hardware fault contact support.
At reading the name of this topic I assumed it would be related to the seeming lack of n-key rollover, which means that keys are being droped after about four to five keys are pressed down.

I had the same issue, ended up having to buy a new input module since I was out of warranty. Same keys too, I think something about their keyboard design makes those keys fail pretty often.

I’m long out of warantee, so I’ll be getting a new keyboard once the US english linux ones (or at least non-windows-key ones) are in stock. Fortunately, this machine is 99% docked with external keyboard, so I can be patient.
