Late 2024 - Is there a dock that can deliver enough power?

Doing some digging on AliExpress this morning and found this:

That’s not just the one that people have been ordering already, is it?

Also seeing a bunch of KingMa bricks like this one that can do 330W (!), but the big charging is only available for the type of laptop supported by that one (the linked one is for Dell Alienware m16). KingMa is apparently Shenzhen Benma Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. I wonder if we could track them down and get a Framework version (or one that just has USB-C @ 240W instead of the proprietary connectors).

The first charger is a nice find!!

I wanted to see how bigger it is compared to the Framework 180W brick, so I overlayed 180W brick dimensions in red here (FW 180W brick is 117x58x31mm):

Still quite bigger than the FW brick…

Now who’s willing to be the guinea pig for this one?

I fear its power!

I’ve emailed KingMa’s support address to see if their 330W chargers can be safely used with the Framework 16; it looks like several of their per-laptop versions (not the Alienware one I linked above) connect via USB-C.

A more expensive guinea pig proposition.

I’ve edited my post above with the dimensions of the Delta ADP-240KB BA 240W PSU. Seems like the Delta isn’t much larger in two bigger dimensions but it’s quite a bit thinner in the third dimension. Meaning that the AliExpress one is still quite bulky.
