Could someone explain what I need to do to get my system to automatically load the latest kernel (so I don’t have to manually choose it in grub)? I don’t understand how it got in this state.
Not Framework-specific really but, this came up some time ago. Thread with workaround(s) here:
I can’t remember atm whether there was a bug reported to the Fedora bugzilla and what the disposition might have been, but I haven’t seen any other reports of this recently.

Running sudo grub2-set-default 0
fixed the problem for me
