Both the products you linked only use the usb connector for power, providing internet through a separate wifi connection. So that’s not ideal.
How about this one? or are they all the same?
That one looks good! One possibility is getting the microusb version, desoldering the connector and soldering in a usb c connector. Then 3d print a case and you’re good to go.
Just read up on this thread. I got one of the Liberated system LTE expansion cards and i am willing to part with it, as i rarely use it.
It works max speeds i got is 150Mbit and 50Mbit iirc. If someone really wants it, preferably around Frankfurt a.M.

Yes, but: a custom designed PCB (such as the old Liberated Systems design) would be more ideal.
Buying from AliExpress means:
-desoldering the USB connector in favour of a C one
-designing a case, 3D printed probably
-finding a way to secure that horrible IMEX connection. No way those small pins can withstand daily movements. And noone wants to attach loose wires to adapt them to SMA. We need a tidy, secure, reliable package.
I’m working on adapting the AliExpress design to fullfill those requirements, but the devil’s in the details.
My solution will (hopefully) be a modification of the off-the-shelf EG25 adapter from AE. I’ll do my best, but no custom PCB due to lack of skills.

looks like he has a listing up on his site now (not sure how long its been there)
Glad to see that he’s selling it on his store now, and it’s something I’ve been wanting for a while. But for $160, I’m not sure I’d like to pay for something when I can’t even see a picture of it. Furthermore, there’s no way that I can verify the site’s authenticity. No reviews, no pictures, no proof.
thats josh_cook, hes getting a little flac from the dual usb card thread. But its basically the card designed by liberated systems, with some upgrades in pcb design and i think something else
that’s been there for quite a while. the purchase “process” moved there pretty early.
the wayback machine shows it was up in may, but i’m confident it was up before that.

What email address is he reachable at? All emails I have for him are deactivated. Super shady.
I just want my money back
bit late to return, sorry gang. i submitted the claim incorrectly (tried to skip the usual process for my own convenience, didn’t work).
bank refunded me and didn’t take too long to process it either, which generally means it wasn’t disputed.
take that as you will. i guess i hunt for another person to pick up and finish the work for me.
a shame, really.
I’m potentially interested in buying one, but for tracking in case of losing my device (which happened this week). Does anyone care to post his solution if using the LTE card for that purpose? Any software running on boot that can connect to iPhone Find My, perhaps?
Welcome to the forum
Perhaps an airtag would be more useful for you. Works even when laptop is powered off, and uses apple Find My app.
