My Framework 13 always got very hot >100 degrees C when charging. So I got a replacement mainboard. However, I can’t find a guide on how to migrate my current system to the new mainboard, because the setup took me a lot of time as a Linux newbie. Can you give me some tips on what to consider? That would be great!
Is your new mainboard a different generation / model?
Linux usually has most drivers to run on anything just built-in. Some very new hardware can pose a problem, if it needs something special, and it’s newer than when the Linux kernel was released. And some GPUs can have better drivers you may wish to install.
But most of the time, you plug your SSD in, it works no problem.
Thanks for your answers :). It is the same AI 9 HX 370 mainboard. I have activated the LUKS hard disk encryption and have read in the forum that this can cause problems.
