Hi Everyone, I’m Meenu Hinduja and my husband Dheeraj Sudan, run a business. I’m having trouble with my Framework laptop — it sometimes doesn’t charge properly, or charging stops unexpectedly. I’ve checked the cable, tried different ports, and looked at the BIOS settings, but the issue keeps happening.

Has anyone else experienced similar charging problems? I’d really appreciate any tips, troubleshooting steps, or workarounds that have helped you resolve this.

There is a tool that shows details of the battery.
ectool battery 0
ectool chargecontrol

The laptop uses this information to decide whether it needs charging or not.

Although not reported by the above. The battery has a temp sensor in it. If it gets too hot it will stop charging.

What BIOS version and OS version do you have on the laptop?

Are you using the Framework charger?

How old is the laptop?

Have you tried contacting Framework support (https://frame.work/au/en/support)?
