Microphone stops working

My laptop’s microphone stops working, tried all the troubleshooting on the forum. It seems to be realted to hardware I can almost confirm. But the questions is: how to decide if it’s related to the ribbon cable, or the webcam + mic module?

My webcam works fine so far, but mic does not register any sound no matter what I do.

any recommendation before I start ordering anything?

Hm, I don’t know if there will be a way. Unless you happen to have a multimeter & could test the lines in your cable.

But between the webcam module & the cable, seems much more likely to be the cable.
