Hi I got a 7840HS Mainboard for the 16. Unfortunately I only own a Framework 13. How do I check the mainboard is alive? I wanna resell or use it for an enclosure build so I hope you can help me out. Thanks!
The easiest would be to stick it in a 16 chassis because unlike the 12 and 13 mainboards, the 16 mainboard does not have the fans.
At minimum, you need the fan module connected to it I would imagine.
I’m kind of in the reverse boat. I own a 16 and 12, but bought 4 mystery mainboards. The 11th and 12th gen I got will not boot and I think it’s because they are looking for the screen which I do not have. One of the boards is an AI 300 and it works because the bios changed over to standalone mode on its own after failing to detect the screen and battery.
