Hi!
I was totally excited when requirement specification was dropped this week for the newest Dragon Age game. Framework16 with dGPU, being relatively new laptop, meets those reqs easily, except for one:
“AMD CPUs on Windows 11 require AGESA V2 1.2.0.7”
I’ve checked in the bios, F16 crrently has PhoenixP1-FP8 1.1.o.2a as AGESA version.
Is this going to be a problem? Am I not going to be able to play the game with current specification? Is any bios update in plan before 31st of October? Let me know!
Personally I would wait for someone else to play the game first, before consider buying the game myself. I would be concerned about a game that doesn’t compatible to anything other than the very latest hardware, as it’s not environmentally friendly(may persuade the player to discard current computer and buy a new one).
Yeah, but other then that one requirement, this game on minimum spec support GPU from 2013! I would say it is pretty forgiving in terms of how much money you need to spend in computer parts and quite environment friendly, if you can even say that about a video game.
So it kinda suggests that AGESA setting should be updated even on older computers? Is f16 falling behind already?
Not sure how many people who own f16 are also going to play Dragon Age Vailguard, so I’ll probably buy it on steam on my own and use their 2 hours return policy, if game won’t work.
Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 3 3300X* (see notes)
and in the notes it has:
Additional Notes:
SSD Preferred, HDD Supported; AMD CPUs on Windows 11 require AGESA V2 1.2.0.7
So the AGESA V2 1.2.0.7 is in relation to the AMD Ryzen 3 3300X CPU, and thus AM4 socket related.
There was bug for some ryzen that make game slow down before this release… (and the path is 2 year old. So may be simple “advise” for good performance/experience.
And yes I don’t know if it is the same for “laptop” APU.
